About Journal
Journal of Urology and Andrology Research (JUAR) is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing clinical practice, surgical innovation, and health policy in urology and male reproductive health.
Published four times per year, the journal serves as a critical resource for urologists, andrologists, reproductive medicine specialists, researchers, policymakers, and educators who are committed to integrating the best available evidence into the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of genitourinary and male reproductive disorders. Our mission is to provide clarity by publishing high-quality studies that help separate reliable findings from noise, ultimately promoting improved patient outcomes and health equity on a global scale.
The journal publishes exclusively in English to ensure accessibility and reach within the international scientific community, and all submissions are subject to a strict double-blind peer-review process. Our editorial team, composed of leading international experts in urology, andrology, surgical oncology, reproductive endocrinology, biostatistics, and evidence-based methodology, oversees this process to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity.
JUAR welcomes a diverse range of submission categories designed to capture the full spectrum of work being done in the field. Authors may submit:
- Review articles – including systematic reviews and meta-analyses that synthesize evidence on specific clinical questions in urology and andrology (e.g., prostate cancer screening, male infertility treatments, surgical techniques for BPH)
- Original research articles – presenting primary studies relevant to urologic and andrologic practice, such as randomized controlled trials, diagnostic accuracy studies, cohort studies, and implementation research
- Case reports and Case series (minimum 4-5 cases) – offering valuable insights into clinical reasoning, rare presentations, or novel applications of evidence to individual patient care
- Study Protocols and Technical innovations – describing new surgical techniques, medical devices, or software tools with preliminary evidence of efficacy
- Methodological papers – proposing new approaches to evidence synthesis, bias assessment, clinical trial design, or guideline development specific to urology and andrology
- Short communications – concise reports of preliminary findings or emerging trends
- Letters to the editor and editorials – providing a forum for scholarly discussion and responses to previously published work
We invite researchers, clinicians, and policymakers from around the world to submit their manuscripts to the Journal of Urology and Andrology Research (JUAR). Whether you are presenting a comprehensive systematic review on prostate cancer outcomes, a novel surgical technique for varicocelectomy, a methodological framework for male infertility research, or a thought-provoking letter on equitable access to andrology services, your work contributes to a deeper understanding of how evidence can shape urologic and andrologic care, disease prevention, and public health policy. We look forward to receiving your submissions and advancing the evidence base together.
